If you’re looking for a night out in a cosy venue, quality cocktails, really friendly bar staff and a completely unpretentious crowd then Bar Social is the place.
I was heading out with my sister for a night of gossip and cocktails and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. As we arrived around 8.30pm on a Saturday night the place was buzzing. The manager was sweet enough to find us a table for two amongst the throng of party goers. The table next to us were celebrating a 30th birthday. They told us that when they arrived they found the table adorned with birthday balloons and a free bottle of champagne was awaiting them. Looking around it seemed that two other tables had benefited from Bar Social's friendly birthday policy of free balloons and champagne.
Table service was bestowed upon us and Miya the amazingly helpful and friendly bar waitress took us through the extensive and exciting cocktail list. Looking to the bar I swear I could have been on the set of the movie “cocktail” and was expecting Tom Cruise to walk through the bar at any moment. I’ve never seen cocktails been shaken and stirred so liberally. When I looked around I couldn’t see anyone drinking anything but long martinis and mojitos, even the strong rugby player types were sipping on cocktails more suited to Paris Hilton and her pet dog chi-chi. I couldn’t blame them. At around £5 a go they’re not going to break the bank and filled with a delicious mix of alcohol and fruit one or two were easily enough to get the party started... but as you might have guessed the temptation to drink our way through the whole menu was too much!
The atmosphere was fun and chilled out. Funky tunes pumped out at a volume where you could feel the vibrations but at the same time enjoy a normal level of conversation. My sister and I nattered away and every time we looked up, Miya, like a cocktail angel, wafted over to our table and placed two more delicious concoctions in our hands. We couldn’t fault the place – even when my champagne cocktail arrived and I felt, believe it or not, that it was too strong – Miya took it away, had the Tom Cruise look-alike mix me another one and not a word was said about it.
The floor at the top was being used for a private party; which looked like it could fit around 30 people, just the right size for an informal bash. As my sister and I skipped out of the place at 1am, we were already planning to come back and try the Salsa classes on Mondays and the poker nights on Wednesdays. It seems there is no end to the offerings of Bar Social. As Arnie would say... I’ll be back.

Cosy, well designed, good music, excellent and extensive cocktail menu with fab happy hour offers :) the music is varied and fun and the bar staff are just the nicest bunch of people I have come across!! I have met many friends here and whenever I'm in town I come here and am always greeted with a warm welcome :) I've introduced some of my London friends to Bar Social and they have returned also!

“The place to go to see lots of jugs, big ones, small ones, full and empty ones. Thats because this is one of the places to go for some awesome cocktails and at reasonable prices for London too. “Went to car social last night, and what a place, it’s great; everyone should get their selves down there. Walked in and the atmosphere hit me straight away, such a cool place, the staff made me feel really at home and like I belonged there. They have a fantastic selections of drinks and cocktails too, had to try a few of those, and with the happy hour prices you cant go wrong. The music was really varied and they had tracks to suit most tastes. A vibrant place with good drinks, good process and the staff are really good, am going again tonight me thinks. It’s not often a female on their own feel comfortable going into a bar on your own but I really did here.”

“Have to give this place five stars really. “A couple of friends asked me if I wanted to go to a casino night, I really didn’t fancy going to the west end and said so, only for my friends to say it was local, in fact round the corner in Lavender Hill. So I agreed and went along expecting an old table with a set of cards.
How wrong could I be, there was a roulette wheel, proper cards with chips and even a croupier, I was ecstatic as love a good gamble. So I settled down and began to play, I really liked the place, it is nicely decorated with a big screen to take your mind off the money your losing at the table!
They had an extensive range of cocktails and the guy at the bar did an excellent job of shaking or should it be stirring in this Bond era! All the cocktails were spot on though. The owner even joins in and it’s a real laugh, a great night indeed.
We left after more hours than had originally planned and agreed we had an excellent evening. It is now a regular in my calendar, it’s a great place to unwind after a hard and stressful day at the office playing with other peoples money!”

“It was Friday night, my flat mate &, me wanted to go out somewhere we could have a good time and get a bit ‘merry’. We had both had tough weeks at work, crunch was the right word. We looked online for local places and liked the sound of Bar Social.
So we made our way there all dressed up. What a great night, we got there and the place had a really friendly feel, and atmosphere. The staff were great, the owner even intoroduced himself. The cocktails were brilliant and we tried as many as we couold. The music was really eclectic and made a really good change from the usual cheesy pop or mainstream stuff you usually hear. It seems a great place and I am not at all surprised it was so busy, it is set out on three floors so very spacious.
We set out to have a good time & get merry and thanks to bar social & the staff there we exceeded that, go there I definitely will be a regular.”

“After reading all the positive reviews about this bar I decided to check it out for myself with a workmate in tow.
We recieved a freindly welcome by the bar staff when we arrived and were somewhat amazed at the amount of beers and cocktails on offer, so took us a while to decide.
The decor and general feel to the place was warm and inviting and the music was also just right for the time we arrived which was quite early eve.
All in all we stayed a bit longer than intended cos the cocktails were very moreish and at very reasonable prices too.
If u havent already been to this bar get on down u wont be disappointed.”

“A friend and I went along to Bar Social last night to join them celebrating their first anniversary since opening. The bar has become a regular haunt for us and it was great to see it so busy. As always the Manager and the staff were on top form and the atmosphere was buzzing - the music very good and a friendly party feel. The bar is always welcoming and the nice little touches, like the complimentary choccie with your first drink is unusual. If you haven't already been along to the bar it is a must and somewhere you can hang out with the girls (or guys) all night.”

I'm so glad I picked this place as had friends coming from all over UK & wanted a fun, relaxed & intimate place that wouldn't charge £8 a drink & where we could all have a great night. That's exactly what we got... lovely staff, no extortionate minimum bar spend like most places, very reasonable & varied drink selection, great mix of music. “I'm almost reluctant to tell you how great this bar is because I don't want it mobbed by people but I've got to say from the first time I went here and continue to keep going, every time I arrive I am greeted by the owner Sam and his staff who are the most unaffected bar staff in London. By that I mean they treat you politely and efficiently without all the attitude you seem to get in some other bars and are genuinely pleased to see you come back again. Add to that the feel and the look of the place and the variety of activities they put on and you've got a pretty perfect bar for me. If they can do it why can't more. Well done.”
