Bartique London Description
Bar and restaurant impresario Mike Filpi opened up his elegantly stylish new venue, Bartique, in 2008. Situated at the Chelsea end of the Fulham Road (the stretch known as “The Beach”), the venue has already won the respect of it’s peers and been nominated for London’s Best New Bar at the London Club Bar Awards 2008.
The stunning interior has been designed by Lizzie Filpi and epitomises all that is desirable about a boutique hotel bar without the costly experience of having to take a room in the hotel. The décor is beautifully refined with sumptuous scatter cushions strewn upon comfortable banquets and low lighting radiating from elegant glass shades across leather clad tables. Windows that open up onto the hustle and bustle of vibrant Fulham make it the perfect venue to relax during the summer evenings with a cool breeze and cocktail in hand. Clientele are made to feel like they can stay all night without being harassed or disturbed by loud music or rowdy revellers as the conscientious team tend to their customers every need.
Bartique is steadily growing popular with locals and set to become a destination hang out for glamorous girls and dapper gentlemen. The bar offers top end spirits and wines along with a range of tempting cocktails that include modernised versions of classics and some delicious signature creations such as:
Tique - Gin, Apple Schnapps, Pama Pomegranate liqueur, Tamarind, home-made sweet chilli sugar shaken with cloudy apple juice.
and
Tique Beach - Vodka, fresh watermelon and peach gently muddled with home-made vanilla sugar, lemon and lychee, and finally crowned with a hint of vanilla liqueur.
To accompany the expertly devised drinks list, Bartique serves high quality Japanese bite size food that includes sushi and tempura - served nightly from 6pm, seven nights a week. There is also an early evening aperitif hour serving complimentary pre-dinner that comprise of a selection of continental starter dishes for sharing.

“Having read the reviews, I was left very disappointed with Bartique. It took a while to get served at the bar, as the staff seemed more interested in talking among themselves, then when we did get our cocktails they 'lacked bite' and alcohol! I could understand if it was busy, but it was very quiet this night - we didn't think it was worth speaking to the barman so just had a few sips and left.”
