Cape London Review
I’ll tell you what’s ‘nice’: a classic view of a London landmark is nice.
I’ll tell you what’s ‘quality’: a clean, trendy and creatively inspiring décor is quality.
I’ll tell you what’s ‘a laugh’: sharing a bottle of red with people who look and act like they’re from the 21st century is a laugh.
Now I’ll tell what’s NOT nice, quality or a laugh: the Thomas Moore pub, nooohoohoo-sirree-bob!
The local Safeways supermarket is not a ‘view’; tables and chairs that have the look of a litter fight from the previous night do not display ‘quality’ in my book; and grown men who swear violently at game machines, without care of who is within earshot, that is not ‘a laugh’.
If you happen to be walking past, on your way to the newly rejuvenated and idyllic St.Katharine’s Dock, don’t be drawn in by the pretty plasma screens showing tri-nations rugby. Just keep your head down, eyes straight, and ignore the crazies that might shout at you as you scurry by. It looks like a fight could break out at any second.
Less of Moore, please.
