Galvin Cafe a Vin London Description
Galvin Café a Vin will offer all day food and drink serving wood-fired dishes of meat and fish as well as some of the Galvin signature bistrot dishes, with an emphasis on quality and service. Adding to the hustle and bustle of the café, terrace style seating on Bishops Square will provide a true ‘continental’ outdoor-dining experience.
Head Chef, David Stafford, (previously of The River Café and Café Anglais) and Restaurant Manager, Sylvain Acolas (previously of Soho House Group and Racine), will head the team together with Riccardo Andreotti as Bar Manager (previously of Corrigan’s and the Royal Opera House).
The Café and Bar have a contemporary feel employing a mix of new and recycled materials such as the rich dark wood panelling and tin ceiling as well as the reclaimed wooden floor. The central focus of Café a Vin is the 6 metre long pewter bar commissioned originally by Sir Terence Conran for his Aurora restaurant at the Great Eastern Hotel.
Galvin Café a Vin offers casual and relaxed dining with a luxury finish. A study of Julian Opie printed visuals of ‘Julia’ line the walls with a bank of floor to ceiling glass doors opening out onto the outdoor terrace.
