Gilmour's London Description

Opening in January 2009, Gilmour’s is a wonderful small restaurant and bar nestling in the heart of Chelsea, embracing the best of British cuisine albeit with a contemporary bias. Great food, good wine, a welcoming atmosphere and excellent value is what the Gilmour’s experience is all about.

Gilmour’s is wonderfully welcoming with a colour scheme of teal and chocolate brown that compliments the copper fronted bar with its stylish block wood bar. The main kitchen is open planned and sited off the dining room which creates a highly visual working space. Jeff the Chef is passionate about his menu and has created a fantastic balance between comfort favourites and more contemporary dishes to tempt with. Only the best and freshest ingredients are used. Bread is baked fresh and chef trys different types and flavours daily.

The copper fronted bar and polished wood blocked bar blends perfectly with the old wooden panelling which adds a touch of nostalgia to the stylish bar. Wines have been personally selected carefully priced every bottle to present a comprehensive but modestly priced wine list. Cocktails are proving to be popular and the most wonderful and creative cocktails are being created daily.

Loved

"I was so impress when we walked through Brompton Quarter Brasserie's door, it is spacious, sophisticated and the staff were friendly and professionals. The food is simple and delicious, they have a gourmet..." Which venue is this?

Hated

"The staff was awful: rude and obnoxious. Bouncers made the evening really miserable by being rude and condescending to all who entered including me. Completely unwarranted for such a small unremarkable..." Which venue is this?
