Harlequin Restaurant & Bar London Description
Hotel bar and restaurant description:
Located within the 4-star Kingsway Hall Hotel, the Harlequin is the perfect place for relaxed dining in Covent Garden. The restaurant’s unpretentious atmosphere is ideal for low-key dinners, and its desirable location in the heart of the West End’s theatre district makes it popular for pre-theatre dining.
Executive Chef Rodney Brannigan has traveled around the globe and regularly modifies the Harlequin menus to showcase the best local and seasonal produce. His brasserie-style offerings include dishes like pressed rabbit terrine, pickled red cabbage & prune chutney and slow-braised shank of lamb, crispy sweetbreads & spring onion mash. The expansive wine list will satisfy all tastes and budgets. Table d’hote menu - ideal for pre theatre - starts at £16.95 for 2 courses & £19.95 for 3 courses.
Operating Hours: 12 noon - 10.30 pm
Come in and savour the sophisticated warmth of the K Lounge Bar, where an easy atmosphere combines with a delightfully extensive beverage list… and where cocktails are their promised speciality.
While away the evening sipping on a Martini or wines by the glass… a stylish spot for unwinding after work, pre or post-theatre drinks, an evening cocktail before dinner or a night cap.
Operating Hours: 8.00 am - Late (Mon - Fri) and 9.00am – Late (Sat – Sun)
The Mezzanine in the Lounge Bar is also a restful haven to unite for drinks, afternoon tea and appetizer.

“We booked a table through last minute for Valentine's Day and they really did not disappoint. From the very friendly welcome when we arrived (about 15 minutes late!), to the chocolates as we left the restaurant almost last - the service was fautless.
The special was a four course meal and the food was fantastic. Our starters (Mushroom soup with Truffle oil/Samosa with Apple/Celery Raita) was just right portion wise and tasted good. Course 2 was a Champagne sorbet - fantastic for cleansing the palette again, very tasty.
Our mains were really, really nice - Pollack (fish) with Pancetta and white beans / Chicken in Tangier sauce with Cous Cous. Portion sizes were good, food was hot and very well presented. Dessert did not dissappoint either with Strawberry Fool with homemade shortbread and Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce. We just about had the room.
The whole set up was lovely - silver stars sprinkled on the table; a near perfect red rose in the vase; well lit so as to promote some intimacy without stumbling about in the dark and staff who thought carefully about when to interrupt, apologised for even the slightest delay and seemed happy to serve you - something that seems to be a bit of a premium these days! And at £25 per head with a glass of wine - this was definitely the way to do credit crunch Valentine's!
We were sold and will definitely go back on a bog standard non Valentiney-type day!”
