Langtry's Restaurant London Description
Langtry’s Restaurant has recently opened its doors in the heart of Knightsbridge and offers British dishes with unique and inventive flavour combinations.
Langtry’s has a wonderful history, having once formed part of the home of the famous actress, Lillie Langtry, who lived at the property from 1892 until 1897.
The décor has been subtly modernised to enhance the historic grandeur of this elegant and sophisticated dining room. Featuring high sculptured ceilings, a magnificent Carrera marble Louis XIV fireplace, oversize mirrors and an original glass chandelier, Langtry’s has romantic charm.
Robert Lyons, Langtry’s new head chef, has created the new menu, and includes starters such as Beef Tea; and Thick Cut Smoked Salmon with Potato Cakes and a Shot of Lemonade. The restaurant’s signature starter is Langtry’s Prawn Cocktail, which comes with prawn tempura and marie rose ice cream.
The main courses feature dishes such as “Toad in the Hole” and Crackling; and Romney Marsh Lamb “Rack & Shank”. Desserts include Apple & Blackberry Pie; and a Trio of Blancmange.
At dinner service, an appetiser and pre-dessert are offered with the compliments of the chef.
