The Breakfast Group unleashed Punk onto London's West End in 2007. The name Punk reflects a venue that takes West End nightlife in a new direction. This is not just another venue with a nondescript interior playing funky house, R&B and 'eclectic beats'.
Punk mixes decadent furniture with oversized bespoke Mapplethorpe type flower prints! Look out for Sid illuminated from one of the backlit honeycomb columns as designed by Rock Galpin. There are sex workers and sex slaves and carpets used in a way not seen anywhere before.
We've all heard of mashed-up music, Punk now brings you mashed-up entertainment! A permanent stage allows live music and cabaret to sit side by side with Guilty Pleasures. Nick House's Wonderland will sit alongside Tesco Disco and Anti-Social.
With a 4am licence, a 270 capacity and a Soho Square location, Punk is a true West End destination venue.
“Went down to Punk with some friends. Had such a fun night. I would recommend going down there for Rockaoke. 2 for 1 Happy Hour deals until 9pm that night. Since that night I have been back twice and my friends and I keep bringing more people everytime because we can't stop talking about what fun night's we have had there!”

“Punk's live music on a friday night was exactly what I needed to relax at the end of a busy week. I found Punk to be a great friendly atmosphere that welcomed a mixture of people with no question. I found Punk's original cocktail drinks a reasonable price and they were definitely worth the wait!
I'll definitely be returning for round two with more friends for a night to forget the stress of the week!”

“Oh my god what a disappointment. Decided to go as was looking for a cool club to go to complete our night out...and dropped off at Punk....it was a Thursday night and cost Eur5 each in....the doormen were arrogant but hey that didnt bother me if we were in for a good time........so we headed downstairs........to a crowd of spotty, badly dressed teenagers who were sharing one drink between 4 or 5 of them......the decor was tired and out of date.....limited seating and totally boring the music echoed around room.......dont waste your money going!!!”

“Having heard about Punk and seeing endless pictures of celebreties stumbling out of it's doors in the early hours, i was curious to see what it was like but was also not willing to pay 20 pounds to get into a club i wasnt sure i would like but i went with a friend who had a black card from london parties and we got in without paying, i had such a good night and have been back a few times since, theres always a buzzing atmosphere and i love the interior with its vibrant colours and oversized furniture.”

“If you've got the gift of the gab, you can get in for free and gain free drinks! I went out with £20 and came back with £20. You can pretty much do that anywhere in London. Try it, its worth it!! The club was nothing special and neither was the music. The girls there were all very much like peaches Geldoff and the men were a mixture of arrogant stuck up city boys or electricians. The only good thing there was the male dancers who got everyone in the party mood as you walked in the door.”

“People need to stop complaining about drinks prices in London. If you are going to a club in London expect to pay the prices, cos thats just what they all are. Get over yourselves, being young and having fun has no price. Punk has a banging atmosphere, an eclectic mix of interesting and creative young people and the decor is to die for darlings. So to all that like to complain stay at home with your slippers on grandpapa. Coolage, Peace and Love.”

“After reading some of the bad reviews online, we thought these people had just had bad experiences, and we decided to go anyway. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. £20 to get in unless you're on the guestlist, and the drinks were £8.50 for a spirit and mixer, £4.50 for a beer (roughly) and £6.00 for a shot. The beers were pretty reasonable but the spirits are just ridiculously expensive, so advice is, have as much as you can before you get there because I think you need to if you want to have a good time in there. The actual club is quite small and crowded, people bumping into you quite hard ALL the time, although obviously for some, that's part of the club experience. The pictures make it look great but when it's stuffed full of people and takes half an hour to get served...it's a bit of a letdown. There were only 4 toilets for the ladies (don't know what it's like for the men) so there were lots of queues, but the lady in the toilets was very nice and very helpful. There are some sofas to sit on if you're lucky enough to get them, and they are comfortable and hidden away, which is quite nice. The door staff were a bit abrupt but not too bad and the bar staff seemed friendly enough. The DJ did repeat tracks quite often, and there was not a huge range of music, it being dance music for the whole night rather than the mix of rolling stones etc that the review says. The clientele seemed really friendly though, lots of pretty women for the men, awful for women though!! Peopl”

“Bangers & Mash @ Punk every Friday is my favourite night in London, i go every week! Fantasitc music & a perfect mix which which is fun & different to the usual stuff heard in west end clubs. Expect to hear everything from the Stones & Stevie through to the new romantics of the 80's & the modern likes of MIA, Santogold & Dizzee Rascal. They have live art, face painters, loads of give aways (everything free) & dressed up people giving it all out! Highly recommended but arrive early as if you come after 12am you'll probably need to wait for a while as they'll be at capacity.”

“The decor is tacky, not glamerous as it would have you believe - Not only are drinks ridiculously over priced as it is - but they charge 2 pounds per card transaction no matter how much you spend - dj is incredibly lazy - it's best left for kings road kids - you know the ones - devoid of personality, fat thighs, horsey mouth and daddies credit card.
I'd avoid it and go elsewhere. ”

“Unfriendly doorstaff, hilarious clientele, the old Hawley Arms wannabe crowd desperate for a glimpse of some indie star or other, or shudder.....Kate Moss... The smash and grab much hyped in the gossip papers would appear to be only available to the rich and over-exposed overpriced drinks, only gets two stars due to the entertainment value.”

“I went along to Punk's Friday night party, Bangers and Mash - and left feeling a bit... unsatisfied. It's as though they've copied the early days of Buttoned Down Disco, and stuck it in a more upmarket venue. However it suffers from incredibly lazy DJing; we were probably only in the club for about three and a half hours, and spotted at least seven tracks which were played twice, and one bloody Strokes track that was played three times. For a night that is supposed to pride itself in the music, it was getting to be a bit beyond a joke. As for the crowd... a peculiar mixture of indie kids, the post-work office crowd, some Chelsea kids who'd strayed away from King's Road, and a surprising number of chavs, who'd obviously read about the place in the 'celebrity' gossip pages in the Sun et. al. The night's trying to be different but there's just nothing particularly new or exciting about what they do.
Given that it is a central London club, just off Oxford Street, it does do better than a lot of the tripe around, and you could certainly do a lot worse - but for a hedonistic indie-pop disco? You could do a lot better for a lot less money if you strayed out of Zone One.”

“I recently went to Punk in a group of four girls, the door staff were very friendly as were the bar staff. We had an amazing night, the place is small but was full with an amazing atmosphere. The people ranged from men in suits to crazy girls in polka-dot dresses with huge false eyelashes. There was also a woman doing free face paint along with a 'burlesque dancer'. The downsides are the drinks are too expensive but that is what you expect in a club like that and we put ourselves on the guestlist but we weren't on it but it was only £10 entry so no problem there.”

“Hi, I tried to call Punk but the automated voice (really annoying) tells me to send an email to someone. How can I be sure if I am on the guestlist or not if theres no reply/confirmation or whatsoever. Oh, and don't even try to get a hold of the manager, I wasted so much time on it and no way of leaving a voicemail. Poor service.”

“After searching for weeks for a venue for my 25th birthday I stumbled across Punk, our party of 8 had the BEST time! The bar staff were extremely friendly and often came over to check everyone on the table was okay. Music - the DJ was fantastic, an eclectic mix of funky house, electro, 80s and chart we danced all night long! Finally the door staff... so friendly and chatty, felt very safe! Filled with a great crowd of people, I would definitely recommend Punk and I will most certainly be returning! Thanks for a really memorable birthday!!”

“What a let down! After spending 2 weeks emailing Punk to organise a party last Fri night for my girlfriends b'day - we got to the door only to find that we weren't on the list! ( paying ). We got sorted in the end with a £300 min spend table which was fine until we sat down and they wanted it all up front! The staff and security at Punk are some of the worst in London. The club itself was far from impressive and we wished we had stayed at Annexe 3 where we came from. Rubbish!!”

“Stylish venue does not make up for the rude behaviour of the bouncers and staff. Arrived for a b'day Fri night, totally looking forward to my night out, but found the bouncers to be abrasive and really patronising - asked the two girls in front of me, if i could speak to the lady with the guestlist. "Sure, go ahead" they said - the bouncer then proceeded to scold me and said "don't push in front, dont do that again" even pointing his finger at me! Would not recommend, first impressions count and not worth parting £10 for entry.”

“Great music, stuck up people. I had my worst night out ever.
Even though the whole club was full of the most arrogant people, my girl friends and I were having a good time, as the music was great. However later the djs threw a drink at me and my friends. I was absolutely appalled by this unproffessional behaviour. When I tried to explain what had happened to the doormen I was literally thrown out and left in tears with a bruise on my arm.
The whole experience was really upsetting. My friends and I will never go to this club again.
I don't think Punk should get away with this, I hope people who read this review decide not to go.”

“So Much Fun! The atmosphere is amazing, I loved the vintage look of the furniture and the bright, vivid colors all around us. The drinks were different but it gave us a change from the typical redbull vodka experience, and the music was pretty much the best I've ever heard at a club. Punk is a smaller place, perfect for a group of 6 or more, highly recommended!”
