Soma London Review
Now, you got on the wrong tube and somehow ended up at Stepney Green station, of all places. But rather than start crying, why not divert your attention directly across the road through the invitingly large windows of Soma, your new home-from-home?
It has cash, coffee, and cigarette machines, an old fireplace, a welcoming horseshoe-shaped bar supplied with an array of friendly beers (or cocktails for only £2.50 during happy hour), some fine Thai food, local art for sale, politely subdued lighting, and a sociable music policy. There is even a small side room for ugly people and dorky students, separating the wheat from the chav.
This isn’t always a library lounge though; the volume gets cranked on drum & bass Thursday and school’s-out Saturday. Finally, a reason to be in East London. Why stay sober when you can stay Soma?
