The Barracuda Bar London Review
Any Man’s Dream Place – A sports bar that serves unusual beers.
The Barracuda Bar is very similar to that popular chain of Bars we find in London, though the Barracuda has a Saffa theme instead of an Aussie one. Even the shirts of the bar staff are the same colour, green and yellow. In fact it’s hard to spot the difference when it comes to these two bars, but then I guess there isn’t a whole lot of variation between most sports bars anyway. And to be honest, why should there be. As long as you give the customers what they want. Beer, sports and meat.
This particular venue is surrounded by blocks of offices from which most of its clientele flock in from. When you step into this place on a weeknight, especially when there is a football (cricket, rugby, snooker, etc.) match is on, the testosterone hits you in the face. On your right, as you walk in, there is an elevated VIP section that my guest dubbed ‘the Island with the kaleidoscope of TV’s’. Any direction you pointed your head you will be sure to find yourself staring at a television set broadcasting a sporting event. This, however, is true for any area you sit in. The toilets are the only sports free zone, but give them time....
The bar at the back of this location is well stocked with international wines & beers. For example, they offer the Estonian beer, A. Le Coq Premium Extra, which comes in an octahedral conical bottle making it a pleasure for the eye as well as the tongue. At the far end of the bar there are four strategically placed pool tables. These babies are all in good nick, so you won’t find yourself having to beg and borrow bits and bobs from other tables.
All in all the Barracuda Bar is the ideal place to go if you want to watch any sporting event with an unusual cold beer.

We had an office lunch at the Houndsditch Barracude Bar. It was stock standard Sports Bar decor and ambiance. Fair enough. Anyway our group ordered our meals immediately and sat down.
What happened next was frightening. The first plate came in 2 minutes after it was ordered (someone else's unwanted meal i suspect) and it was 40 minutes until the last plate was presented.
The food ordered were standard burgers/wraps with fries etc. However what was presented on our plates was quite grim. Two burgers were taken back as they were raw inside (but black on the outside), the chicken breast was basically jerky and we were lucky if we each got 5 fries each. Oh, and the cheese on my burger was imprinted onto the bun (sat underneath the grill too long in presume). Even one of the lagers had to be taken back because it a unusually cloudy!
Oh, and the food was cold (although that was the least of our worries).
Do not ever go there! Loosing £10 through a drain grate would be a better investment.”

Came here for the rugby a couple of weeks ago and although England lost the atmosphere was terrific. Going go again this Saturday when hopefully we'll beat the Frogs!”
