The Northcote London Description
A fantastic pub in a similar vein to the likes of The East Hill, The Duke of Cambridge and The Phoenix, The Northcote stocks the same great real ales to attract the regulars, including favourites such as Adnams, Sharps Doombar and Hogs, alongside a few imaginative bottled beers for those looking to try something new. The wine list is a welcome addition to the chattering classes of the Northcote Road, allowing those who like their beer to mix with those who like their wines. With fresh British food served all day at weekends and 12:00 to 15:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 in the week, it just gives everyone more reason to love a pub! The Northcote also understands that the best pubs have a wonderful mix of everything. There will be a weekly quiz, board games, wine and beer tastings and free bar nibbles, as well as a regulars club, daily changing specials and comfort food favourites. There are 25 wines and champagne by the glass, cheeseboards from the market, bar snacks served all day long, ale and cider festivals and oh so much more.

“A decent upgrade from the previous incarnations. It still has the odd TV for the footie lovers out there but on the whole the decor is much more modern, and rustic. I reckon they've added more table to encourage eating. They must be doing something right because whenever I go in there all the tables are full. A good pub for groups.”

“Totally disappointing... the place was buzzing, full of people and as such the staff were in no mood to help us find a seat. They were quicker to show us the door than a couple of couches near the fireplace. Once we had a spot though things didn't much approve. We ordered and 25 minutes later were told that they had run out of one of the requested meals. The next option was also out of stock. Another 40 mins passed when our cold food arrived. Not terribly impressed to say the least...”

“I attended the launch of the reopening of this bar/restaurant last week. It was very busy and lively with a good atmosphere. The waitress service was excellent considering the amount of people attending. The tasters were good especially the oysters and chunky chips. There was also a good selection of beers and wines to choose from. I would like to go back to see if the pub grub matches up to the launch.”
