Excellent Gastropub. Great food, good wine list, well kept beer. Recently refurbished to a high standard of decor. Family friendly during the day. Sunday Roast very popular. Booking reccomended. Large private car park.

Went to the Royal for Sunday lunch after a recommendation from a work colleauge and was very pleasantly surprised. The decor is very good, the service was good and the staff happy and the quality of the food was excellent. Big servings to, even i couldn't finish my roast, a first! The price was good too. Not the cheapest, but i'd happily pay what they ask for the food they serve. I liked it so much i'm going back very soon with my parents.”
