World Burger Week at Eagle Bar Diner
Get set to take you taste buds on an expedition as Eagle Bar Diner goes global. From 24th November, you can pay homage to the humble patty throughout Burger Week, when you can sample a selection of internationally inspired Burger recipes and Cocktails from around the world devised by Chef Philip Hunter and mixologist Simon Delbosc.
Each day, diners will get to feast upon a different speciality, starting in the West Indies with a Jamaican Jerk Chicken burger washed down with a Calypso Caribbean Martini.
Then on Tuesday cross the Atlantic for some North African flavour with a Moroccan lamb and apricot burger, and a traditional style Souk Martini composed of Chamomile infused vodka and mint tea syrup.
Wednesday will experiment with European influences and a delicious Hungarian pork Burger, infused with smoked paprika and apple, complemented by an aptly named ‘Thyme after Thyme’ Cocktail.
Thursday is Thanksgiving and so to celebrate head back to the motherland where you can try tradition with a twist; a 6oz prime beef burger flamed with Woodford Reserve and a sprinkling of Monterey Cheese. Instead of dessert follow up with an Apple Martini; a wicked concoction of Woodford reserve, maple syrup, mint and apple.
Friday will focus on good Ol’ Blighty with a Lincolnshire Game Burger dressed with Watercress and Forest Fruit Compote, complemented by the oh-so-English country Tweed Martini.
Finally head east for the weekend with a Bangkok Burger, a tasty tribute featuring Red Chilli with a Yoghurt and Coriander sauce, whilst sipping on a Thai Delight featuring Vodka, Lychee and Coconut cream.
