Just a stone’s throw from the Tate Modern, next to Southwark Bridge on London’s South Bank and one of London's top scenic restaurants - The Times and Squaremeal, Zakudia is cleverly designed to allow every guest to benefit from the panoramic Thames view.
Smart and modern, comfortable but never stuffy, Zakudia is the kind of bar where you can feel at home whatever you’re doing. You can share pre-club cocktails, or a 'must get a bottle of this’ after-work wine. Perhaps a beer with an affordable yet stunning working lunch, or a more substantial main meal from the contemporary European menu. You can even get mellow with a newspaper, a coffee and Sunday brunch of Eggs Benedict.
Evenings really bring Zakudia alive. With a dinner-jazz mood and room for 150, a great way to experience Zakudia is with a sharing platter - which is like a mini guided taste tour of the entire menu - a tray of cocktails or a highly recommended sparkling wine or Champagne.
Zakudia really is the sort of "everyone’s welcome, everyone’s comfortable" place where you can have a vibrant evening, a leaving do, a snuggly lunch after a South Bank stroll or just take your mum for a steak sandwich with a twist after a trip to Borough Market – all with a stunning river view.

“Absolutely Fab! My fiance and I celebrated our engagement party here on Saturday and it couldn't have been more perfect! Huge thanks to the guys - Frederico and Josef and can't remember the other names but they were brilliant! We wanted to keep the budget down so as to go mad for the wedding! ;) And most places have a minimum spend of £1,000 plus hire fees etc... None of this at Zakudia. We hired an area for 50 people (half of th bar) and actually had a turnout of nearly 80! Which was perfect as we had about 40-50 seats and lots of standing/dancing room! And we spent our budget on as much bubbly as we could - everyone had at least a glass or two (some more!) and it really did not blow the bank.. helped also by the half price cocktails until 8pm! The guys at Zakudia happily let us turn up an hour before open to decorate (We brought helium balloons and LOTS of table confetti, cakes and heart biscuits etc etc...) and also to get ourselves ready! (There was even a powerpoint for me to GHD my hair!) We had the area from 6pm till midnight, after which there was a large party arriving, but this fitted in fine, as it got the party going even more and we were dancing into the night! All this and a splendid view over the Thames and great location, 15 mins walk from London Bridge. Huge thanks to the guys, it was definitely a night to remember!”

“One of the worst evenings of our lives. We tried Zakudia after reading these rave reviews but they must have been written a while back. The drinks were disappointing and over priced, the staff were slow and rude and the bathrooms were utterly disgusting. The best thing that night was leaving.”

“Been coming here for a couple of years now and it is still my favourite bar for cocktails in London, the view of the Thames is great and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, no snotty staff in this bar unlike some others I've been to. Definitely give it a try.”

“I just came back from Zakudia for lunch with 6 of my work colleagues (totalling 7 diners). Or rather, I should say only 5 of us had lunch. 1 of us ordered the curry special and 6 of us ordered the burger special. The curry came out pretty quickly and was finished by the time the burgers came - but only 4 of the burgers were served. The remaining two were kept waiting and after numerous follow-ups were promised their food in "5 minutes" but by that time the rest of us had finished eating and we had been there over an hour already so they could no longer wait (also due to scheduled appointments) so we left. We did not receive an apology or anything - when we asked for the bill, the manager came to clarify what we actually did eat and simply stated "that's fair enough". And to add insult to injury, they then added a 12.5% service charge. I don't think so. ”

“I love this place (best location in London). Definitely one of my favourite bars. The atmosphere is relaxed and the table service exceptional, with trained staff ready to mix up any cocktail your heart desires. (The food is pretty good too if your wanting to lay the foundations before a big night). A definite must, for music, for romance or just to chill!”

“Had a great evening there. Went to Zakudia with my girlfriend and you could not have got a better place for taking a date. The view over the river is brilliant. There was a really good buzz in the place, and the staff were spot on. It is a breath of fresh air to the bar scene.”

“The cocktails were great - the Russian Roulette and the Southwark Sling are worth a try. The views of the thames in the evening are amazing and the staff were really friendly. I have been in here twice now and will go back again. Zakudia has a really chilled out and comfortable feel to it.”
