Bluu London Review
Everybody knows that Hoxton is home to London's most pretentious fashion victims and Bluu is lucky to have escaped their curse. Number 1 Hoxton Square is just about the most desirable address in London at the moment, but thankfully that hasn't gone to the Bluu Bar's head even if the first floor location means it literally looks down on the rest of the Square.
There is plenty of seating upstairs and in the dimly lit basement, where DJs play on the weekends. Bluu doesn't seem as busy as some of its neighbours for whatever reason, but in a square which now draws in crowds from all over London, that is a very good thing while it lasts.

Loved it. Great place to chill out, the food was great and there was a general buzz about the place. Nice place to go after work for a few cold beers with friends or have a bite at lunch. Nicely done.”

If you're going to Hoxton Square you should definately have a drink in Bluu. It's a nice place with retro/modern styling and a nice relaxed atmosphere. You can get a pint and there's a reasonably priced food menu.
Bluu sets itself up as a cocktail bar though, and it doesn't quite make the grade. The staff don't speed pour, don't seem to know the menu very well and are slow. First time I went the ice in my drink had pretty much melted by the time the barman had made my friends. The contemporary menu reads well but the staff just don't pull the drinks off very well.
Still, it's a nice place for a drink and reasonably priced, so if you're not a cocktail facist you'll probably enjoy it. Even if you are a cocktail facist remember you're having a drink in a chain bar and don't expect to much.”
