Jetlag 125 Cleveland Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1 (Map)

Picture of Jetlag, a Bar in Fitzrovia, London

SpeechmarksI went to jetlag on a saturday night and met with some friends who lived in the area. i have to say, despite being a little quiet i really enjoyed myself. you can 6 cocktails for 25 pounds on an 'around the world' cocktails ticket. its absolutely brilliant. then on completion u can get one free. so 6 altogether. if you're like me and like to have decent conversation, its a good place to go cos the music isn't too loud either. we had a great time. SpeechmarksJust had a terrible experience in the Bridge. It's a lovely space but the service was appalling. First the manager didn't show us to our table; just waved in the general direction of where he wanted us to sit. After waiting for 45 minutes following ordering my partner asked for an update on when our food was coming. After ten minutes no one had bothered coming to speak to us; so I enquired again. Finally we were told our waitress had forgotten to give our order to the chef. What annoyed us was not that the waitress had forgotten - these things do happen; it was that no one had bothered to communicate with us and we had to chase and chase them. Finally to add insult to injury we were not even offered a complimentary meal or even a complimentary drink! I have rarely encountered such poor service and it's a shame because it is a lovely pub to be inside. Very disappointed. Joanna Stewart, Barnes 07 Feb 10

SpeechmarksVery special place. You feel a bit like in a time hole, as the guests are somehow unique and a lot different to the usual pub audience, the place itself is SO unique that I actually started touching the green wooden wall (!) to explore its texture (yeah...akward), and last but not least, the beer: A simply unbelievably tasty IPA called St Peter's. Flava's Lounge Bar and Grill 5 Mattock Lane, Ealing, London, W5 (Map)

SpeechmarksI don't know about the previous comments but this place was awesome last night! There was a live band, the energy was great, and I didn't want the night to end! The bar staff were very nice [some real eye candy there!] They even helped me when I bought a round and couldn't carry all the drinks to where my friends were. Thats service! Overall, it definatly made a good night out in Ealing. Trix, Isleworth 05 Feb 10

SpeechmarksThis is definitely going to become my regular lunch spot when visiting Westfield. Great concept, great food and brilliant value. The highest praise was from my kids - they ate every mouthful and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful towards them. Top dishes were the malfaldine & sausage and the crispy break sticks. Be prepared that food comes as soon as ready from kitchen so dishes arrive at different times. We'll be back! Alex, Chalfont St Peter 05 Feb 10

SpeechmarksHave been to 101 a few times since it opened and it is getting better every time. The food is consistently good and the service is now very good since the arrival of the new manager. the express lunch option is unbelieveable value. i had 2 fantastic courses, a glass of wine, a coffee and with service the bill was £24 a head. great stuff. SpeechmarksAs a group of 5 women we had a very unpleasant evening here due to being seated next to a group of approx. 30 celebrating a birthday the noise was unbearable and ruined our evening, the manager was totally unsympathetic when we complained. Nothing wrong with the food but the booking policy needs overhauling to avoid anyone else experiencing what we suffered. linda snell, London 05 Feb 10

SpeechmarksI will try to be brief as much as possible on my review. Quite frankly a great bar! At first glance you may think that the drinks and food are expensive, but have another look cos they have happy hour, which make really quite affordable. Cocktails are unlikely any others that you have tried a billion times in other bars and the food is equally good. I usually go on week days but tried for the first time last Saturday, was really impressed with the amount of good looking girls (sorry, it's important to me!) and the dance floor was on fire! I would prefer if I could have had a table but the place was fully booked. Will try again next time! Overall, a very charming bar and great atmosphere. Recommend! Wayne, London 04 Feb 10

Speechmarksi was in london on a working trip and decided we should find an indian restuarant we were told of the massala zone on fulham broadway, after finding it at around 10pm after a few drinks in the local bars, it was a nice relaxed warm greeting from our waiter then seated at our table and introduced to the menu, once he mentioned the thali that was it we were hooked none of us had even heard of a thali it was an explosion of the senses all of them the idea of a hole meal on a tray for one was wonderfull no more sharing starters ha needless to say we had a fantastic meal wonderfully cooked with a lot of love and respect for the indian way, all i can say is if you have never experienced a thali try this restaurant. SpeechmarksSlug and lettuce is an old favourite (or should that be old faithful). Always a place where you can get a table and enjoy a cheap eat. The drinks offers are great - this is fast becoming a regular watering hole for me thanks to it's location. You should definately give it a visist. mark, London 04 Feb 10

SpeechmarksI was just there yesterday, Feb. 3 ,10 for lunch... seated behind the reception by myself...I had a set lunch for £14.95 everything went right , food was good and service was okey but when she presented me the bill it was £43.90 I didn't pay attention of what was listed but I did pay. When I went out the restauarant I realized that It was too much for a set lunch and I cheked it and was overcharged... I think the lady server is taking advantage of the tourist because while I was waiting for my food I was checking on my map where to go so she new that I have an english accent and a tourist.... When I returned to the restaurant she was a kind embarassed because she new she did something wrong... so watch out for the tourist! Service has no control from the part of manager because she can just release and give (got back £ 16.50 it's a lot ) money back without asking manager's permission.. I know because I worked as a rest.manager in a hotel... it's a shame ... maybe the chef doesn't know about it... That's why value for money is terrible !!! ellen costille, Paris 04 Feb 10

SpeechmarksAfter a friend recommending this bar, I decided to celebrate my birthday there and I have to say that I have no regrets at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful with us (always with a smile). The food menu is affordable and tasty, inspired on spanish tapas, very nice, and the cocktails are made with perfection. The bar was full of beautiful and interesting people, great atmosphere, incense and candles everywhere and we loved the service. I have been there more times after that and every time is just superb. We always feel very welcome, rare to find it in London. A. Annabelle, London 03 Feb 10
